Sensitization Training on Food Fortification for Food Safety Officers / Designated Officers

Food Fortification is a cost-effective strategy to reduce the incidence of micronutrient malnutrition highly prevalent in large segments of Indian population.

The role of Food Safety Officers (FSOs)/Designated Officers (DOs) is critical for the promotion of fortification by encouraging and facilitating food businesses to help fortify their products.

FSOs/DOs can also help connect the businesses with the Food Fortification Resource Centre, a resource hub to help provide end to end technical support for converting their range to fortified products.

This online training program created for the FSOs/DOs will ensure that the Food Safety and Standards (Fortification of Foods) regulations are understood well which will help in assuring quality of the fortified products.

1.The training must be completed within 30 days of start of the course.

2.The pre Knowledge questionnaire will not be considered for certification.

3.The training content is divided into 4 chapters, followed by five multiple choice questions.

4.You cannot move to the next chapter without completing the assessment of the previous one.

5.There are resource materials in the form of pdf and videos which have to be read completely. The resource material pdf can be downloaded for offline education.

6.Please ensure that you read the content thoroughly before taking the assessments.

7.The maximum attempts for individual chapter assessment is three and 60% marks to qualify them.

8.The final assessment can be taken only once, in case you do not qualify, please come back after a month and complete your online training.

9.You will require 60% or above to pass the final assessment and obtain certification.
